Death Vessel is led by Joel Thibodeau, whos slender, winsome voice is at once so comforting and so unsettling. Thibodeau spent his formative years on the East Coast, splitting his time between Boston, Providence, and New York City. He released his first album under the Death Vessel moniker, Stay Close, in 2005, followed by his Sub Pop debut, Nothing Is Precious Enough for Us, in 2008, which he supported touring with the likes of Low, José González, and the Books.
Soft Cat (performing solo)Music: http://softcatbaltimore.bandcamp.com/
Soft Cat is the musical project of Neil Sanzgiri with a rotating cast of collaborative musicians from Baltimore, MD and beyond. Sanzgiri combines minimal classical arrangements and layered textural compositions veering on the psychedelic with a unique songwriting approach that will appeal to fans of Nick Drake and Arthur Russell. After relocating to Boston, Sanzgiri has been playing solo, concentrating on a collection of sparse new material that marks a new direction for the project.
