Description
Drunk Feminist Films is back to scare you into the Halloween spirit with Obsessed: the so-bad-it's-amazing stalker flick that somehow managed to snag Beyoncé and Idris Elba as the leads. Join DFF and all-women rap crew THE SORORITY as we ask the important questions, like what could be scarier than two overqualified legends acting their asses off in one of the worst movies ever made? Perhaps two women forced to fight to the death in completely incomprehensible footwear because a man lacks basic communication skills (thanks, The Patriarchy!) One thing's for sure... you'll be Obsessed with how good/bad this movie is!

About hosts and performers THE SORORITY:Toronto's most buzzed-about all-women hip-hop group, THE SORORITY has graced stages at Manifesto, Pop Montreal, and beyond and opened for the likes of Joey Bada$$ and Majid Jordan. The four members: Haviah Mighty, Keysha Freshh, Lex Leosis and pHoenix Pagliacci each bring unique energy to a common craft and combine to create a voltron of talent and pure sisterhood.
About DFF:Let’s face it: all our Hollywood faves are problematic. Drunk Feminist Films creates events and videos with running commentary and feminist-themed drinking/yelling games to help us laugh through our complicated feels about pop culture. Feminists of all genders and imbibing levels (including sobriety) are welcome.
Accessibility:The film will be subtitled. Please let us know by Oct. 1st if you will require ASL interpretation for the commentary. There will be a spot to indicate your need for ASL on the form to purchase tickets.
The Royal has 5 accessible sections which you can reserve when completing the form to purchase tickets. One of the accessible seating areas has space for two mobility devices and a small section behind for the party to join. The other three are for single mobile devices with 2-3 seats beside them. Please note that the Royal does not have accessible washrooms. We are working on confirming a local business with an accessible washroom who is willing to host our guests, and will update this space when such an alternative has been secured.
We ask that our guests do not wear scented products to DFF screenings, and avoid making assumptions and comments about other guests' bodies or gender identities (e.g. which washroom equipment they use).
