The June 2017 edition of DXSocials delivers an experiential, experimental evening! Fresh off collaborations with Tokyo Smoke, Princess Nokia + more, Thank You Kindly will be DX’s guest curators and will takeover our third floor to create a one-night-only pop-up installation, RAINBOW PALACE.
At this Social we are celebrating PRIDE & paying recognition to Toronto, LGBTTQ+ communities and the convergence of the two. Rooted in education and engagement, Rainbow Palace is an interactive, site-specific installation that serves as a visual and historical reference to the importance of significant queer spaces in Toronto’s history. From hostile disruption to community celebration, Rainbow Palace will commemorate the bathhouse, the club, the village and the spaces in-between that are essential to understanding the political nature of Pride and the personal experiences of the queer community.
As always there will be complimentary drinks from Ace Hill Beer, Absolut Vodka, King's Lock Craft Distillery + Stalk & Barrel Whisky and tunes to set the mood for you to move and mingle among the city's next crop of celebrated creators.
MAC Cosmetics will also be on the scene providing touch-ups!
