Come discover the history, architecture and the magical sanctuary of the landmarked Eldridge Street Synagogue, a beautiful house of worship built by Eastern European immigrants in America, in our After Hours Tour and Wine Reception on Wednesday, July 22nd, co-presented by Untapped Cities and the Museum at Eldridge Street.The event will begin at 7pm with a tour from Rachel Serkin, the Museum at Eldridge Street’s Education Associate of the hidden history and current life of architectural gems of our Lower East Side neighborhood. We’ll walk by the abandoned Loew’s Theater, Jarmulowsky Bank, Forward Newspaper Building, and even a former red light district.
