Class Description:
This is a great introduction to jewellery-making! Stretch bracelets make
up quickly for easy gift-giving.
Dress 'em up, dress 'em down: once you learn a few little tips and
tricks, you'll find the possibilities are endless. Anyone can make them and
wear them – they are easy to roll on and off, and have no pesky clasps to
fiddle with. The only tools required are scissors and occasionally pliers.
You'll learn:
Tying a knot that holds without using glue;
Adjusting tension so that a bracelet using small beads doesn't get
misshapen;
Sizing your bracelet to fit;
Ways to hide the knot;
Adding charms and dangles so they dangle freely;
Easy and inexpensive ways to jazz up a plain bracelet;
How to eliminate unsightly gaps and make large and small beads
coexist.
Included in course fee:
Stretch Magic sufficient for 3 or 4 bracelets
Assortment of beads to make your bracelets in class
Participants are
encouraged to bring:
bead mat;
work light, glasses if needed;
sharp scissors, pliers;
pen and paper for notes;
beads, bracelet charms (bead holes 1mm+).
NOTE: Extra Stretch Magic and chakra beads will
be available to purchase in class or at my booth.
Kit fee: $15, payable to instructor at the
beginning of the class. Chakra beads will be available to purchase individually
or in pre-bagged sets; price varies according to the types of beads in the pkg.
