Award winning harpist, composer, teacher, Julia Kay Jamieson in Recital. Program to include music by Renié, deFalla, Ellington, a-ha, Tournier, Piazolla, Mercury, Leonard Cohen and more. Traditional harp repertoire will be paired Jamieson’s own transcriptions of popular and jazz works. Special guest appearance in ensemble by Bay Area harpists: Natalie Cox, Alexandra Perdew, Diana Rowan. Fun experiments and games will break the ice; this workshop will open you to all sorts of ideas for goofing off with your harp! All ages and levels welcome. Please have your lever harp tuned to 3 flats.Not a harpist? Attend the workshop as an auditor to listen and experience the tremendous range of expression, color, and texture of the harp through improvisation.
