One more time in support of the Ottawa Foodbank, The Bushpilots are once again hosting a tribute to The Band's Last Waltz, perhaps the greatest concert film in history, this time to honour the 40th anniversary of this legendary event. Directed by Martin Scorsese, The Last Waltz was a document of The Band's final concert at San Francisco's Winterland ballroom on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976.Joining The Band was an all-star line-up of special guests including Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Dr, John, and many more of the icons who created and breathed American music. The Bushpilots were blessed to be joined by a Who's Who of Ottawa talent in 2013 and 2014 performing before an SRO crowd at the Rainbow Bistro, and this year is the biggest and baddest yet. Special guest keyboardist and vocalist extraordinaire Jeffrey Rogers will be rounding out the Bushpilots lineup for the entire show. Also joining us in the various guest roles are Greg Brayford, Julie Corrigan, Mallory Giles RW Haller, Ray Harris, Drew Nelson, Rocket Rached, Rey Sabatin Jr, Marc Seguin and Slo' Tom. Joining the BP's will be, as always, The Cripple Creek Horns, this time comprised of members of the Capital Youth Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Nicholas Dyson. Thanks to the legendary Rainbow Bistro for once again providing the venue for what will be our 13th Annual Xmas Bash.
