Project WET Zoom Workshop
As classroom instruction is wavering between face-to-face and virtual learning and parents are struggling to teach from home or support online instruction, Project WET has developed a plan to help out.
In this virtual workshop, participants are introduced to both digital and hands on activities that will help you integrate lessons about the environment into your classes. You will be guided through online resources for water education, virtual stream study and virtual and traditional lessons.

Other online environmental materials
This training will be take place over two days: Tuesday Sept. 22 from 4 to 6 PM and Sept. 29 from 4 to 6 PM. Registering for the first date will automatically register you for the second date. You will need to have an internet connection and computer to participate.
To receive workshop certification and Project WET manual, participants must attend both dates and complete the assigned homework activities (approximately 2 hours).
In-service credit: This workshop should qualify for 8 or more hours of inservice credit but it is the participants’ responsibility to contact their school district for specific requirements.

League of Environmental Educators in Florida (LEEF) is the professional organization of environmental education in Florida--advancing environmental literacey and promoting stewardship.
Trout Lake Nature Center (TLNC), Eustis Fl is an approximately 230 acre nature center located in the geographical middle of the state.
LEEF and TLNC have joined together to sponsor the international Project WET(Water Education for Today) program into the state. Both organizations are independent non-profits funded through grants, donations, and program fees and are in their third decade of serving Florida and developing and promoting environmental education.
FAQ
Do I need a computer camera?Although not required it is helpful to see each other during the meeting and when doing online activities.
How will I get the URL for the Zoom meeting? You will be sent a URL a couple of days before the meeting is held. There will be a separate URL for each day's meeting. Do not share this URL with others.
What else will I get in advance? You will be sent an agenda, homework assignment and other documents to be used during the training. You may be asked to have various household items on hand to complete an online activity.
