Description
Filmmakers from the Richmond area raced to make a HORROR film in just 48 hours, and you can see the best of them in the Best of Richmond HORROR Screenings!
The 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) is the world's largest timed film competition, and it has returned to Richmond as a part of the 2022 international tour. One film will be chosen by a panel of film professionals as the "Best 48 Hour Horror Film of Richmond" and that film will move on to screen at Filmapalooza in Los Angeles, CA in March 2023, and even get a shot at a screening in next year's Cannes Film Festival! A runner-up and awards in numerous other categories will also be awarded immediately after the screenings. Congratulations to the following teams/films listed in screening order:
“Chime” by Mad Crab & Eckz Productions, Corbin Rowell - The teenage daughter of a conservative family finds her parents acting abnormally.
“Whose Brains for Dinner?” by We’ll Fix it in Post, Garrett Lewis - Two zombies have a pretty awkward first date, but at least they’re not the delivery driver.
“Best Friends Forever” by This is a Film About Something Productions, Sam Housman - Christian has an unexpected visitor over for dinner.
“The End of Snakehead Trail” by OT2, Brendan Riley - A travel blogger drags her boyfriend along for a photo op.
“DIM” by Son of a Fritz, David Fritzson - A man recalls a dark tale of a parasite from his childhood that descends into disease, injury and madness.
“Bad Taste” by Monster Tooth Productions, Samuel Van Fossen - A sick delivery driver makes one final delivery that may be his last.
“The Last Stop” by Not So Femme Fatales, Olivia Santos - Diane Bivens is on the last stop of her delivery route when a mysterious package appears in her front seat.
“The Hidden Album” by C.A.V. (Chris Abaya Ventures), Chris Abaya - After a long shift, a Ride Share driver/delivery man finds a strange phone in the back seat of his car.
“Seth” by Radiation Studios, Elizabeth Mariah Batten & Annie Lacey - Lydia’s 9th birthday party turns deadly.
“Always and Forever” by The Underdog Team, Will Sidaros - A woman hopes for a new beginning but first must confront her dark past.
