Join us for the 18th annual Festival of Wood & Barrel-Aged Beer FoBAB at HOME: Reimagined for 2020 Although we can't gather in person to celebrate FoBAB this year, we are pleased to share that the prestigious FoBAB competition will continue and there will still be barrel-aged beer this November! This year, more than 160 breweries from across the country will submit over 300 of their rarest, most exclusive wood and barrel-aged beer, cider, mead and perry for judging. A limited panel of expert judges and stewards will evaluate FoBAB entries, awarding Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals as well as ‘Best in Show’ honors across 12 style categories. Judging will take place on Nov. 12-13 at Hailstorm Brewing in Tinley Park. All social distancing protocols will be strictly observed. For the first time ever, you have an opportunity to purchase FoBAB at HOME kits and create your own FoBAB experience from the comfort (and safety) of your home. FoBAB at HOME kits are $60 and include: Assorted six-packs of the exclusive FoBAB beer entries (selected among all 12 style categories) FoBAB-branded beer tote 2020 FoBAB commemorative glass (13 oz.) All 12 style categories will be reflected in the six-packs, which will be constructed and sold at random, allowing barrel-aged beer fans the one-of-a-kind experience they expect from FoBAB. Please note, we cannot guarantee a specific category will be reflected in your assorted 6-pack or that you will not receive more than one beer, cider, or mead from the same category. All FoBAB beer will be donated by participating breweries, and 100% of the proceeds will support the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild’s efforts to protect and promote Illinois breweries. FoBAB at HOME kits are limited, so people are encouraged to make their purchases quickly. Pick-up InstructionsFoBAB at HOME kits will be available for pickup at Hailstorm Brewing on Nov. 13-14 between 12:00 - 9:00 PM, and the FoBAB award ceremony will be live streamed on Saturday Nov. 14. Purchases are non-refundable. PDF tickets have no cash value. FoBAB at Home kits are sold on a first come, first serve basis and are limited, so we encourage you to purchase your kit(s) early. Six-packs are assembled and sold at random, and no particular brewery or beer can be guaranteed. Must be 21 years of age or older with valid identification to purchase and pick up FoBAB at Home kits. Ticket holders/purchasers must be present at pickup, and their ID must match the name on the ticket to process pickup unless designated otherwise. All pick-ups must be made at Hailstorm Brewing and during the predetermined pick-up dates and times.
