The Forward Food Summit is a one-day conference focused on raising awareness about food justice and food security issues, by bringing together the general public and activists in these two fields to enhance their scope, communication, and abilities to do their work. This year, the Forward Food Summit will center conversations on the intersection of race and food insecurity, and enhance our discussions of systemic food problems by inviting researchers from various fields of study.The Summit will include workshops, speakers, panels, and more, all geared towards engaging and educating folks regarding these crucial issues. We hope that attendees will gain a new, holistic perspective on food issues, allowing them to make positive change in their own communities. We have free housing and transportation options on a first come, first serve basis.The 2015 Forward Food Summit is being brought to you by Boulder Food Rescue, Impact Hub Boulder, and the INVST Community Leadership program at University of Colorado.The 2015 Forward Food Summit is being sponsored by the Colorado Trust.Lunch, snacks and coffee will be provided.Thank you to our sponsors and donors which include the Colorado Trust, Flatiron Coffee, Conscious Coffee, and the CU Environmental Center.
