The Shoulder to Shoulder Conference is a multi-disciplinary conference that provides professional training to establish cross-system dialogue and collaboration and to build stronger partnerships on behalf of children in the child welfare system.
We invite anyone who is connected to Child Welfare to attend the conference, including: resource/foster parents, adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, birth parents, advocates, caseworkers, social workers, lawyers, judicial officers, CASAs, Citizen Review Board members (CRB), mental health professionals, medical professionals, educators, child care worker, tribal parents and professionals and many more. Please visit the conference website to see the full list of the conference schedule, speakers and handouts - http://stsconference.com/presentations/
The conference planning committee is comprised of statewide community partners from the child welfare and child abuse prevention fields. Shoulder to Shoulder is an all-volunteer planned conference without permanent funding sources. We rely on community partners and collaborations to operate because we know the need for quality cross-system training and dialogue is high. See our Sponsor page for a full list of the community partners.
