Downtown Camera's FILM Photo-Scavenger Hunt is back for 2024 and we are trying to make it bigger than before!! What is this event? On Dec. 22, 2024 Downtown Camera will release a list of challenges, participants/hunters have until Jan. 12, 2025 to photograph the challenges on one roll of film and email the scanned roll to us. We will choose the selects for presention at Downtown Camera on Friday Jan. 17, 2025 from 6pm to 8:30pm. Participants/Hunters who purchase tickets to be at presentation, will vote from the selects who best interpreted the challenges. The presentation will also be live streamed. Year upon year we are amazed and delighted by the creativity along camaraderie of our community. Join us for this one-of-a-kind event and get others to participate to show you all are part of this vibrant community! Step 1. Purchase your Participation ticket from 2 choices: Film Already = $10.00 = You have your own roll of Kodak UltraMax 400* or FujiFilm 400* *Must use one of these films to participate in the hunt Need Film = $20.00 = Buy the roll on this platform with pick up on Decebmer 16th from participating labs or at Downtown Camera. Depending on availability of film, you may not have choice of Kodak or FujiFilm. Optional Step 1b. Purchase Film Voter ticket =$10.00 entry to presentation night** at Downtown Camera 89 Queen St. E. in Toronto, voting rights and light refreshments Step 2. On Dec. 22nd - Downtown Camera will publish a list of challenges to registered participants to hunt for along with the rules of engagement. Step 3. By Jan. 12th, Get Roll Processed, Scanned and emailed to Downtown Camera Step 4. On Jan. 17th join us live stream for presentation or if you've purchased Film Voter ticket at Downtown Camera in person to vote! Whether you are a novice or advance film photographer, we have geared our challenges to have mix of images you can capture in different settings. While you can hunt alone, it may also be helpful and fun to hunt for images in a group either in close by or travel around the city! Our goal in mind is to have fun, to share, to build our community of film photographers, to let others know film is still loved by many and why. **Space is limited so purchase soon.
