Black music is reflective of all music. With a minority enrollment in the School District of Philadelphia of over 90%, it is important that that music education is centered around the population the district serves. This panel will discuss the importance of music education for 100,000+ students it serves.

Through efforts of the Black Music Collective and outreach, the Recording Academy is working to drive representation of Black music creators and executives within the Academy, and the needle is moving reflective in a representative year for Black artists on the GRAMMY stage and beyond.
