Description

This hands-on workshop will guide you though the workflow of preparing a 3D model to turning it into a real object you can hold— an overview of 3D printing with the Makerbot Replicator 2 and 2X for the absolute beginner. We will discuss optimum print settings, placement, scaling, and orientation for the printer. We will look at examples of projects completed with our 3D printers and discuss best practices and tips. Please bring a laptop with Makerbot Desktop software installed: https://support.makerbot.com/troubleshooting/makerbot-desktop-software/software-download/download_12190 (Note: for software, we are using Makerbot Desktop rather than the more recent Makerbot Print)
