Purple Pride 5K - Saturday, February 24, 2018 - Race Start 8 am The 2018 Kickoff to Soccer will get off to a running start with the fourth annual Purple Pride 5K presented by Orlando Health, SunPass, JetBlue, Publix and Environmental Painting Alternatives. This year’s annual running of the City Fan’s will take place at Orlando City Stadium and features a new route with one lap through the concourse of Orlando City Stadium! The Purple Pride 5K will be capped at a maximum of 2,500 runners. Each runner will receive a race t-shirt and one ticket to a select Orlando City match during the 2018 MLS season. Be sure to stick around for the post-race celebration taking place within the West Lot of Orlando City Stadium. Post race activities will include a race DJ, complimentary runner refreshments, interactive games for the entire family and food trucks. Course Map Match Tickets & Additional Match Tickets:Each runner will receive one ticket to a select Orlando City match during the 2018 MLS season as part of this package. During the online registration process, you will have the ability to choose which match you would like to attend. Match options include: Saturday, March 10, 7:30 pm vs Minnesota United Saturday, April 21, 7:30 pm vs San Jose Thursday, July 26, 8:00 pm vs NYCFC An exclusive promo code will be sent out to the email you have provided in registration a week prior to the match you have selected. This promo code will allow you to redeem your match ticket from this registration. In addition, you will have the ability to purchase additional tickets to the match you choose at a price of $25, TicketMaster fees will apply. Race Number and T-Shirt Pick-Up Information & PoliciesIn addition to race day, City Fans will be able to come and pick up their race number and t-shirt prior to race day. Runners will receive an e-race packet (to the email with which you registered) with race information, course map, special offers, partner discounts and more. You must present a form of government issued photo ID in order to pick up your race number and t-shirt. The only exception to this will be parents picking up for their children, however the parent will still need to present a photo ID. You may pick up a race number and t-shirt for a friend, family member or co-worker, however you must present a written note (email or in handwriting) that indicates you have that permission AND a picture/photocopy of that person’s government issued photo ID. Face of City Costume Contest Think you’re the Face of City? Prove it by entering the Face of City Costume Contest. We want to see your passion for City or Pride at the Purple Pride 5K. Face paint, crazy hats, tutu’s, you name it. To enter the Face of City Costume Contest. Stop by our table at number pick up within the West Club of Orlando City Stadium. We will record your number as well as take a picture of your costume. You then must run the race in your costume. Winner will be selected and announced just before our awards ceremony on the steps of the Gate D entrance. Winners to receive an exclusive Orlando City prize pack and two cases of Heineken! (sizes not guaranteed) What if I need help along the way?Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines. Can I participate in the event with my dog?Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course. Can I participate with a stroller?Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. Please, however, start in the later part of the runners. What do I do with my personal items while I’m running?You can leave your items in your car or have a family member watch over your personal belongings. Should I bring my own water?There will be a total of two water stops along the course where water will be provided. Water will also be provided at the Finish Line. Please refer to the course map above for a better idea of where the location of the water stops. Where do I park?Arriving 1 hour early is strongly recommended due to traffic congestion.
