Learn Blockchain development with BlockX Labs, an event brought to you by Nobul and MLG Blockchain. Coinbase, Binance, Coinsquare, QuadrigaCX are some examples of 70+ cryptocurrency exchanges that are utilized daily by cryptotraders. There are two types of exchanges: Centralized Exchange Decentralized Exchange In this workshop, we are going to build our own decentralized exchange together! You will learn: What are the core functionalities of an ERC20 token? What are the core functionalities of a decentralized exchange? What is 0x protocol? What is OceanX? How do you sign up with OceanX? How to connect Frontend to OceanX to buy & sell ERC20 tokens? Requirements: 1. Bring a laptop with a text editor. Visual Studio code <https://code.visualstudio.com/> or Atom <https://atom.io/> is preferred. 2. Be familiar with the basic features of HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS. 3. Be familiar with the basic features of NodeJS. Is this workshop for you? This workshop is designed for full stack developers and coding enthusiasts. Prior blockchain knowledge is NOT required, but a background in development will be a plus! The workshop will be led by Kush Patel: Co-Founder and Resident Solutions Architect at BlockX Labs. Kush has been a consultant for some of Canada’s top banks. His experience spans from developing financial products to scaling complex technical architectures. He has also built and maintained Exchanges which transferred approximately $1bn worth of assets on a daily basis. Nowadays, he is focused on working with clients to build decentralised exchanges at BlockX Labs.
