A night of raising money for the icon of the west: the mule deer. Come enjoy games, auctions, and a great dinner while rallying to generate revenue that will go to projects that support mule deer conservation in Wyoming. This year we are honored to have Steven Rinella attend the banquet and give the keynote address.
STEVEN RINELLA is an avid outdoorsman, writer, and television personality best known for his ability to translate the hunting lifestyle to a wide variety of audiences. He speaks about his life as a modern-day hunter-gatherer with humor and irreverence while discussing such things as wild game, the ethics of hunting, wildlife conservation, the human need for wilderness, and what it's like to get charged by grizzlies and run over by a moose. Rinella hosts the TV show MeatEater and The MeatEater Podcast. He's the author of The Scavenger's Guide to Haute Cuisine, American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon, Meat Eater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter and the two volume series The Complete Guide to Hunting, Butchering and Cooking Wild Game. Rinella's writing has also appeared in many publications, including Outside, Field and Stream, the New Yorker, Glamour, the New York Times, Men's Journal, Salon.com, O the Oprah Magazine, and the annual anthologies Best American Travel Writing and Best Food Writing.
