A Plastic Ocean Documentary Feature Film (90 Mins)

The Plastic Oceans Foundation has assembled a team of the world’s top scientists and leading filmmakers to produce 'A Plastic Ocean', a high-end documentary feature film which gives a global perspective on the issue of plastic waste in our oceans.
It has been enthusiastically endorsed by Sir David Attenborough and Dr. Sylvia Earle and is under the Patronage of UNESCO.
Producer Adam Leipzig, The March of the Penguins and Dead Poets Society joins Producer Jo Ruxton, BBC Blue Planet and Director Craig Lesson, Nat Geographic, on a journey exploring our ‘addiction’ to plastic and how it has taken over our lives since the early 1950’s, when we were first told that this indestructible product was ‘disposable’.
The film examines the extent of the problem but most importantly it shows us the ways that we can turn it around, not just through knowledge and behavioural changes but with amazing new technology. It has the potential to benefit our health and that of our children, our environment and our seas.

The Canadian Premiere will also see the official launch of Plastic Oceans Foundation Canada, a National Canadian Not For Profit Office. Globally, we are challenging society's perception that this indestructible substance can be treated as 'disposable' and working to change the world’s attitude to plastic in one generation.
Come join "Plastic Oceans Canada" as we launch our branch and "Celebrate" the work being done in and around Vancouver. Participate in the Q&A and join positive discussion with special guests from local government, businesses and NGO's working collectively to be the wave of change we need.
