A War of Two Halves by Paul Beeson, Bruce Strachan and Tim Barrow
Performed by B.A. Hons Acting & Performance students of Queen Margaret University in a co-production with Two Halves Productions.
The poignant and powerful tale of the Heart of Midlothian players who, in 1915, showed tremendous courage and team spirit to volunteer en masse for McCrae’s Battalion (16th Battalion, Royal Scots). More remarkable, is that at the time they were the best team in Scotland and were well on their way to being crowned league champions.
A promenade performance that leads the audience on an evocative, dramatic and moving journey through various locations at Tynecastle Park – from the football fields of Gorgie to the battlefields of the Somme.
PLEASE NOTE: – This performance involves walking around the stadium (equivalent to a full circuit) as well as some climbing of stairs in the stands. We can accommodate wheelchair users through an alternative route provided they have assistance – please indicate which performance you are attending through emailing twohalvesprod@gmail.com
