Attendees: ALL young people in P4-P7 Days: Every Tuesday from 5th September to 10th October Time: 4:30pm-6:00pm Location: Media Suite | McLeod Street | Tynecastle Park Get ready to take coding to the next level! Building on the skills learned in the original CoderDojo Coding Club, this club provides a smooth bridge between block-based and text-based coding, enabling attendees to delve deeper into coding concepts, while maintaining the accessibility and simplicity of block-based coding and the micro:bit. During each engaging session, attendees will not only strengthen their coding abilities but also cultivate teamwork and critical thinking skills through interactive activities, immersing themselves in an enriching learning experience. As their coding proficiency expands, they will gain the confidence to tackle progressively advanced coding projects. Advanced CoderDojo Coding Club is designed for individuals who have attended the previous CoderDojo Coding Club or have a confidence of block-based coding and an eagerness to begin text-based coding. This level introduces essential concepts including: · Data types · Boolean logic · While loops · Debugging · Documentation. All equipment is provided, instructions will be easy-to-follow and refreshments will be provided! Please note: Due to high demand and limited tickets, only those with a confirmed space will be allowed to attend the club - this does not include being on the waiting list.
