Gaza and its people have been left deeply wounded in the latest most brutal aggression in the region by occupation forces. Most of us have witnessed the ongoing bombing and crimes against the men, women and children which has torn apart countless families and left thousands of Palestinians displaced. The genocide continues in its sixth month and now, during the Holy month of Ramadan, thousands more continue to be ruthlessly attacked by the regime. Now, more than ever, the people of Gaza need our support. In solidarity with the people of Palestine, Road to Freedom is hosting an Iftar to raise funds for Palestinians displaced at the border between Gaza and Egypt. Partnering up with grassroots organisation on the ground, we will be providing hot meals to those at the border as well as immediate aid including food, clothing and medical aid to displaced Palestinian families. Having spent time on the ground in Cairo working with Palestinian families there, we have identified a huge need for support as they try to rebuild their lives away from war. Our volunteers are still in Cairo continuously working to support as many families as we can with food, clothing, medical and other urgent needs. Open to all communities, the night will see a fusion of Palestinian, Yemeni and Afghani cuisine alongside speeches from special guests. All proceeds from ticket sales and on the night will go towards supporting Palestinians which our team on the ground will be distributing personally.
