Description
We bring you a massive comedy show with 4 great comedians; Andrew Maxwell, Al Porter, Karl Spain, Aideen McQueen and the main act, who is a household name we are flying in for the occasion is yet to be announced.
Andrew Maxwell
He's the winner of the Time Out Award for Best Live Comic, Chortle's Best Live Comedian and Channel 4's King Of Comedy. As seen on Live at the Apollo, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, Have I Got News For You, QI, Mock the Week and the winner of Celebrity Mastermind. Andrew Maxwell is also the voice of MTV's Ex On The Beach. Throughout his career, Andrew has enjoyed many sell-out seasons at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, most recently in 2022 with KRAKATOA, which was met with critical acclaim.
“…a master-class in mirth. Sublime timing, relaxed delivery style, killer punch-lines: the holy trinity of stand-up are all present and correct. Go see a craftsman at work” - HERALD *****
Al Porter
Al Porter has sold out Vicar Street and Cork Opera House, headlined Cork’s Live at the Marquee and Electric Picnic’s comedy tent, and performed in the 3Arena. In 2017 he performed a sold out run in Soho Theatre London. In 2016 his hit show ‘Al Porter At Large’ was nominated for Best Show at Edinburgh and he won the IFTA Rising Star Award. On TV, he was the host of Ireland’s Blind Date, appeared on RTE’s Late Late Show many times and on BBC’s Live At The Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show. On radio, he had his own show on Today FM and appeared on BBC Radio 4. On stage, he was the star of the panto at the 3Olympia, which he writes.
Karl Spain
Karl Spain has long been established as one of Ireland’s most popular comedians, from his own tours and touring with others, and has appeared at festivals all over the world. Karl has worked with some of the world's greatest comedians (his peers ahem, cough).
Karl spent most of 2022 touring with Kevin Bridges because Kevin finds him very funny - or because Kevin uses Karl to remind him to keep the weight off. Hopefully the former.
Aideen McQueen
Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and side-splittingly funny.
Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.
