This special edition craft beer festival and fundraiser returns to the Garfield Park Conservatory on Friday, August 27th! Traditionally a cornerstone of Illinois Craft Beer Week, Beer Under Glass was canceled last year out of concern for the health and safety of our member brewers, staff, volunteers, and attendees. With the Chicago economy now fully reopened, we are excited to welcome back our breweries and craft beer fans for this one-of-a-kind experience. What’s New This summer’s special edition Beer Under Glass invites attendees to sample craft beer while enjoying exclusive, after-hours access to the Conservatory. Pours from 70+ statewide breweries will be available during two limited tasting sessions, each with 1,000 attendees to allow for social distancing and a more intimate festival experience. All breweries will be positioned in the outdoor gardens, but the Conservatory’s indoor collections will be available for self-guided tours. General admission tickets are $75 and will be available on Friday, July 23. ImBIBE members get early access to tickets beginning Tuesday, July 20. There is no VIP ticket or early entry this year, and the festival will continue rain or shine. Food and beverages from some of Chicago's best local restaurants and food trucks will be available for purchase throughout the gardens. Now in its 11th year, Beer Under Glass is hosted by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild (ICBG) and the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance (GPCA). All proceeds support GPCA’s mission to change lives through the power of nature and connect people to plants, and ICBG’s mission to support and protect the state’s craft beer industry through education, advocacy, and promotion. With the rapid spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant, proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test administered within 72 hours of the festival will be required upon entry for all organizers, volunteers, and attendees. We encourage patrons to download your vaccination card on the new immunization portal, Vax Verify, found at https://idphportal.illinois.gov. A picture copy on a phone will also be accepted. Additionally, masks will be required in all indoor gardens for all patrons, regardless of vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking. Tickets have no cash value. Due to the popularity of this event, we encourage you to buy tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. Due to space limitations, no designated driver tickets are available. Event will occur rain or shine. *Must be 21 years of age or older with valid identification to attend and participate. All ticket holders must present a valid ID when entering the event, which will be checked at the door. Please drink responsibly and use a designated driver. *Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild have the authority to refuse service to intoxicated persons. By purchasing tickets and/or attending Beer Under Glass at the Garfield Park Conservatory you assume all risk of violating the state law if you operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and further waive and forever release and indemnify the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance, Chicago Park District, Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, and all participating distilleries, wineries, breweries, sponsors and vendors and their respective members, shareholders, officers and directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all liability arising from the use of alcoholic beverages or acts of nature. As a ticket holder to Beer Under Glass at the Garfield Park Conservatory you assume all risks and dangers of personal injury and all other hazards arising from or related to Beer Under Glass whether occurring prior to, during, or after the said event. For security purposes, you hereby consent to the reasonable inspection of your person and property before entering the event. No pets, no outside food or beverages. *NOTICE OF FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY. Photography, audio and video recording may take place at Beer Under Glass. All ticketholders entering Garfield Park Conservatory for Beer Under Glass on Friday, August 27, 2021 consent to being photographed and/or recorded. Photos and/or videos captured during Beer Under Glass may be used in print, digital or social media platforms for the purpose of event promotion.
