NL - Workers in Song is het resultaat van de samenwerking tussen beeldend kunstenaar James Richards en componist Billy Bultheel, en combineert nieuwe muziek, archieffilms en tekst. De performance put uit een intrigerende geschiedenis van occulte fotografie en spectrale muziek, maar ook uit meer alledaagse pleziertjes als internet daten, drugs, fandom en de Winterreise van Franz Schubert.
FR - Fruit d’une collaboration entre l’artiste visuel James Richards et le compositeur Billy Bultheel, Workers in Song réunit musique nouvelle, films d’archives et texte. Le spectacle est hanté par des histoires de photographie occulte et de musique spectrale, ainsi que par des plaisirs plus quotidiens, comme les rencontres sur internet, les drogues, le fandom et le Voyage d’hiver de Franz Schubert.
EN - The result of a collaboration between visual artist James Richards and composer Billy Bultheel, Workers in Song brings together new music, archival film and text. The performance is haunted by histories of occult photography and spectral music, as well as more quotidian pleasures such as internet hook ups, drugs, fanship and Franz Schubert’s Winterreise.
