Description
The Bentway Block Party is back and bigger than ever! Join us on Sunday, August 13 for our annual signature event where live music, roving performances, family-friendly activities, art workshops, street food, and more transform our space into a festive site of community celebration. This event is free to attend and open to everyone!
Enjoy an afternoon showcase of local DJs curated by ISO Radio featuring Jelz, Beat Sampras and dj miss. Throughout the day, catch roving performances by Toronto’s own afro-Brazilian percussion and song troupe Maracatu Mar Aberto and dance collective T.O. Waacking.
All-ages are invited to create colourful, upcycled pom poms with artist Jillian Jerat, culminating in a community cheer workshop and performance led by PCT Cheer & Tumble.
Meet us on the dancefloor as a fusion of live and electronic musicians take us into the night. Brooklyn-based artist BAYLI headlines, supported by Toronto’s own dance duo TUSH and DJ Sofia Fly.
New this year, Block Party visitors can explore an artists’ market by Toronto Art Crawl - bringing over 80 local artists and artisans selling photography, sculptures, jewellery, fashion, home decor, and one-of-a-kind items at The Bentway Skate Trail.
Check out the Bentway Bar for local brews and beverages and a selection of onsite food vendors. Experience our Beyond Concrete seasonal public art exhibit throughout the site too.
