Description
In partnership with the City of Seattle for downtown recovery’s Welcome Back Weeks, Borealis will transform the historic Paramount Theater space into a labyrinth of light and sound on Friday, September 10th from 4-10pm. Using more than a dozen lasers, this choreographed optical ballet will mesmerize thousands of participants in this one of a kind immersive light experience.
As COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations increase, caused largely by the Delta variant spreading primarily among unvaccinated people, the City is following strict COVID-19 protocols to prevent the spread of the virus and allow us to safely host Welcome Back Weeks events.
Full vaccination will be required for both staff and attendees at Borealis at the Paramount, and vaccination cards will be checked upon entry. In alignment with state policies, masks are required while indoors. In addition, the theater will operate at 50 percent capacity with social distancing embedded into the floor plan. These efforts go further than current state and county guidance, but the City believes they’re critical given the current state of the virus.
