, presenting key findings from ‘The New Promotion: How to Win Fans
and Influence People’ report.
The session will evaluate the current landscape of 360 music promotion, focusing on curation, influence and context - who are music's storytellers and how can the industry work more effectively with them? This will feature music bloggers and music media, YouTube channels, marketing tech & tools for curators and influencers, playlist curators, and other key voices in the music promotion world. We will hear from key innovators in each of these sectors, and argue that together these channels reach music fan audiences as large as global streaming services and national radio.

Leila Fataar, Founder Platform 13
Leila Fataar is the founder of Platform13 - founded in August 2017 to answer challenges faced by brands in the ever changing world of creative innovation and the swiftly moving cultural landscape. Platform13 is an independent new gen business, creating and maintaining relevance for big brands by curating bespoke teams from her global network of influential (not influencer) people and voices who truly shape, create and represent culture. Her 20 year experience, from her 10 year first youth oriented boutique agency, Spin, a stint at corporate powerhouse Edelman and in senior roles at both sportswear giant, adidas Originals (global) and drinks heavyweight, Diageo (Europe), gives Leila a unique ability to speak entrepreneurial, cultural and corporate fluently, enabling a sometimes new, but always credible conversation between brands and their audiences.
Barney Artist, Artist & Influencer
Barney Artist is the laid-back, seriously woke rap maestro that demands your attention. The 26-year-old east Londoner fuses 90s era boom bap hip-hop with jazz for a refreshing sound harkening back to legends such as A Tribe Called Quest and The Roots, and taking influence from prolific UK artists including Kano and Ghostpoet. Working closely with fellow artists and friends Alfa Mist, Jordan Rakei and Tom Misch, Barney is part of a vibrant London scene placing musicality at the forefront and this is aligned with his aims to be an eternal presence in UK hip-hop.
Josquin Farge, CEO & Co-founder, Soundsgood.co

Xanthe Fuller, Head of Community, Mixcloud
Xanthe Fuller joined Mixcloud as Head of Community in September 2015. Her role involves working with influential curators to maximise their reach on Mixcloud, encouraging new influential curators to join the platform, managing a team to devise and execute live and online community events, speaking at music conferences, and more. Before joining Mixcloud Xanthe worked as a radio producer for 10 years on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 6Music, 1Xtra, Classic FM and XFM. She produced shows by the likes of Pete Tong, Mary Anne Hobbs and Rob da Bank and managed a radio station based in Shoreditch. Music and radio are at the heart of everything she does and in her spare time she also presents a show on Soho Radio.
Crispin Futrille, Founder, Lost
Crispin Futrille - Founder of LOST, a cross-platform network of the world’s leading music curators. Crispin’s experience at the intersection of music and technology spans 20 years - from founding Fireplayer with Orange in the early 2000s and developing the original Shazam app, to signing with Virgin/EMI and playing the inaugural gig on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury with his band Royworld. Prior to founding LOST Crispin was heading up innovation at leading advertising agency ODD.
