To kick off our jammed packed programme of 2017, on the 29th of July Brighton's Big Screen present to you a day and evening of music on the beach, headlined by Gilles Peterson. Accompanied by his MC 'Earl Zinger' BBC 6 music legend Gilles will deliver the ultimate beach set in his own fresh and funky style. Starting at noon offering the coolest beach bars, an amazing food court, surprise guests and video treats the event runs at full speed till 11pm. A wealth of live acts and DJs are lined up throughout the day including 'The Juke of York' fresh from Fatboyslim's European tour, "Phats and Small" will pay live as will Acid Jazz supremos "Freak Power". Jazz Rooms legend 'Russ Dewbury' and local club heroes "Soul City" all get a chance to mix things up. BBC Radio 3's Claire Martin, Tori Allen-Martin (voted hot new talent of 2017 by the BBC) and The Starr trust singers set the 'Ball rolling. With further acts still to be announced expect a day and night of soul, jazz and funk infused music. There are VIP tickets available in a special beach garden setting with a chance to enjoy quality, hospitality. The package includes a premium seat in the covered, all weather, grandstand. It also features ahot meal, welcome drink from the bar(exc sparkling wine) popcorn, tea or coffee and an ice cream dessert. You will also have use of the select VIP bar throughout the entire event. You can event book the ibis beds for a day of maximum "chillage" and use of all the VIP facilities.
