The British Musical Fireworks Championship is a firework competition across three nights and this year is the Champion of Champions. Seven winners since the competition began in 1999 will battle it out to be crowned the ultimate winner.
Each competitor will fire a 16 - 18 minute display which must be choreographed to music. The fireworks will unfold, Southport skies will light up and Victoria Park will come alive with music!
On Friday night 2009 winners Flashpoint Fireworks and 2005 winners Westcoast Fireworks will fire. This will be followed by 2004 winners Allstar Fireworks, 2013 winners Sirotechnics Fireworks and 2007 winners Phoenix Fireworks on Saturday evening. The Sunday evening will end with 2014 winners Smart Pyrotechnics and 2016 winners Bright Sparks Fireworks.
On Sunday evening as the competition ends, the five professional judges will go behind closed doors and decide the winner of the competition. Each competitor is judged on: synchronisation, mood and flow; patterns, colours, effects and music; technical aspects such as timing & overall design.
The winner is then crowned!
