Description
Fruit trees and berry patches grow famously in the city and make a delicious addition to any yard or green space. Learn how to choose the perfect variety for your yard, and how to plant and care for your backyard orchard. This workshop is being offered by Urban Seedling, a family owned business based in Montreal. We believe in helping Montrealers grow food in the city because for us this is the first step in creating a healthier lifestyle. On top of installing organic vegetable gardens across the island, we also install berry patches and fruit trees. We have a small garden centre in Ville Émard where you can purchases our products.
Our facilitator will be Olivier Ross, the founder of Verger Pépinère Bord-du-Lac, started in 2012 on Île Bizard. This workshop aims to give you tools to care for your fruit trees and the fruiting shrubs that you have or are planning to plant in your yard.
