Catherine Glynn’s A.R.T. (Audacious Raw Theater) and Lanesboro Arts proudly present Audacious Raw Theatre Year 7: Surf & Turf on Friday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the North Campfire Circle at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center.
In honor of A.R.T. (Audacious Raw Theater) celebrating its 7th Year in partnership with Lanesboro Arts, Artistic Director Catherine Glynn has developed a new concept for the next stage in the company's evolution. Having envisioned A.R.T. as a bridge organization, this seventh season will again feature a special partnership with Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center.
This year's theme of Common Ground will take on stories and performances that, at first glance, may seem polarizing in nature: Land Stewardship & Climate Change, Reproductive Rights, and The Second Amendment.
As ARTists, the participating members actively seek to cultivate and create stories from a wide range and diverse set of people. They aim to reflect reality in fragments and fractals in order to share their performances on common ground for the common good within the community.
To make the area more accessible for all people, Eagle Bluff will provide gator rides to the campfire circle for those who need to utilize it. There will also be other seating in addition to the wooden benches around the fire ring. There may also be talk-back time following performances, although the performance will not continue after sunset.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from MSAB thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
