Join what may be the largest mass direct action about climate change in Canada!This is an invitation to give the Prime Minister a proper climate welcome.With a Liberal majority, we know that we, the people, will need to push for an urgent and drastic shift in Canada’s climate policies ahead of the Paris climate talks. For four days, we’ll march on the the Prime Minister’s residence, sit-in and deliver welcome gifts. It will all come together to create a kind of "climate welcoming committee." We’ll take bold action to demand the government freeze tar sands expansion and come up with a plan to build a just, clean energy economy in Canada.Find out more: http://climatewelcome.ca The DetailsThis event registration is for online sign-ups to join the bus from Kingston to Ottawa and back. We'll be taking a First Student school bus (46 seats); leaving late afternoon on Friday, November 6, and returning early evening on November 8. Bus Pick-Up and Drop-Off Times/Locations Outside Goodes Hall, 143 Union St., KingstonDeparting: 4:30 PM, Nov. 6Returning: 6:30 PM, Nov. 8Times are subject to change but no worries it won’t be drastic! Paying for TransportationThe cost is currently set to $25, although we are in contact with 350 organizers and other organizations regarding subsidies and financial support.
