In this interactive workshop participants will explore clay and sculpture. Through hands on experiences individuals will examine how the artistic process encourages belonging, expression, engagement, and well-being. We will also focus on how educators can apply this medium in their early years programming and the importance art plays in child development. Please dress appropriately as clay can be messy.
Krista Thompson is the EarlyON Supervisor for St Thomas, Central Elgin, and Southwold. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is a RECE. Krista is an artist practicing in the mediums of photography, paint, and clay. She has worked in the Early Years sector since 2006 with the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario.
