SHARE Charlotte and United Way of Greater Charlotte have partnered together to bring you the inaugural Corporate Volunteer Summit to share best practices from both the corporate and nonprofit sectors on how to have an impactful and engaging corporate volunteer experience.
Corporate volunteers can be a huge force for good by providing the human power and passion to provide much-needed support to our local nonprofits. This support is critical in a post-pandemic world where nonprofits are needed more than ever and volunteerism can be used as a tool to re-engage employees.
The goal of this summit is to have both voices in the room - the corporate partner and the nonprofits to help co-create a great experience for employees.
Who should attend?
Corporate Partners - please attend if you are part of the CSR or community impact team focused on engaging employees and driving social impact.
Nonprofit Partners - please attend if you are a volunteer coordinator or leader who is directly involved with recruiting or managing volunteer opportunities.
Additionally, you will hear best practices from our keynote speaker, Cheryl Kortemeier, Executive Director of the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta. The CVC supports their member companies to deliver business results through their strategic commitment to civic engagement and social impact. They do this education and professional development programs focused on corporate volunteering, inclusion, and equity, corporate social responsibility and corporate citizenship. Their goal is to support volunteerism as a business strategy to help companies prioritize their community engagement and learn best practices for social impact.
