You’ve probably heard of the terms CUSMA or USMCA. Like many importers and exporters, you may not be 100% certain you’re leveraging all opportunities provided by CUSMA or USMCA, or you may not feel confident that you are 100% compliant with the new regulations.
With CUSMA, USMCA and T-MEC in effect as of July 1, 2020, all previous NAFTA claims for preferential duty-free status are expired. Products will be assigned normal duty rates unless certification under CUSMA, USMCA and T-MEC is completed. How do you do that?
