Pride has partnered with Deep Gold and Verse to bring you world-renowned DJ duo Tama Sumo and Lakuti. From their residency at Berlin queer mecca, Panorama Bar, this married couple routinely create a shared space where lovers embrace, friends become family, and a diverse international community of talented selectors, musicians & dancers come together to celebrate inclusion and the triumph of love. Known for their deep musical knowledge and exceptionally eclectic record crates, Tama Sumo & Lakuti will create a dance floor where genres melt away, difference is appreciated, and bodies taste of sweat and endorphins. Alongside this dynamic house duo is Hong Kong-born, Canada-raised Stuart Li who began his career in Toronto’s underground scene, and made his first release as Basic Soul Unit in 2003. Since then, Li has been steadily dropping records on labels across the globe, with names such as Ostgut Ton, Dekmantel, Skudge, Dolly, Philpot, Creme Organization, New Kanada, Versatile, Mathematics Recordings, Still Music, Nonplus+ and Mule Electronic. Deep Gold and Verse have solidified themselves as a premier source for killer house and techno music in Toronto, bringing such artists as Hunee, Virginia, and Kyle Hall to play at adventurous venues, from intimate, DIY spaces to booming concrete warehouses. This Pride collaboration will bring all the key components of a Deep Gold/Verse party: incredible music, stunning visuals, respect for the dancers, and a zero tolerance attitude for bad vibes.
