The Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership (NCSCP) coordinate a Designated Safeguarding Lead network whereby all designated safeguarding professionals from across the city’s educational settings are invited to attend and participate in a conference type event focusing on safeguarding priorities and emerging trends across the city of Nottingham.
The key aims and purpose of the networks are:
To promote connectivity with the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership, other key local authority departments and Designated Safeguarding Leads across the city
Act as a conduit for policy updates
A network which demonstrates professional behaviours and mutual support
Sharing of pertinent local and national updates focusing on safeguarding priorities and emerging trends across the city of Nottingham
The events are exceptionally well attended by professionals across the educational sector and are an opportunity to network, share knowledge and key priority updates as well as continuing to promote working together as a collective body, holistically to improve safeguarding practices and processes for our children, young people and their families.
An advance booking must be made to secure a place at each netwokr and ensure certification of attendance.
*Please note for face to face DSL Networks we ask that one person per setting attend and disseminate all information back to your safeguarding teams- this will enable each setting across the city the opportunity to attend. We may cancel bookings where this is not followed.
