Description
Discover Dance is a FREE, all-ages, lunch hour series, where you will be introduced to some of Toronto’s incredible dance artists. Hosted by Nova Dance, Discover Dance is an hour filled with dance, discoveries, and connection. You will have the opportunity to see dance and share your thoughts; to hear stories and ask questions; and to discover how dance forms from near and far are being woven in Toronto’s cultural scene.
This month, we are featuring Eilish 미정 Shin-Culhane, a Tkaronto-based queer artist of Korean and European descent. She received her BFA in dance from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. Her work plays with theatricality, rigour, and humour in order to highlight human connection and adversity. She wields absurdity as a method of discovering genuine authenticity. Eilish feels equal parts dancer and choreographer—both mover and maker.

5 minutes prior to the program start time, if there are any no-shows from the original reserved participants, those spots will be filled on a first-come first-served basis by drop-in participants. Please let us know by 4PM on class day if you have to cancel your participation. If you are a no-show (without advance communication) for any three TO Live community classes, this forfeits your ability to pre-register for future classes.
