Join us at the GAA Museum for two lectures from the vast history of Gaelic Games.
Historian Cormac Moore will deliver an enthralling account of the GAA’s relationship with Douglas Hyde. Hyde was controversially removed as GAA patron after he attended a soccer match between Ireland and Poland in 1938.
Secondly, to mark the 100-year anniversary of The Tailteann Games, Professor Paul Rouse from UCD will set the scene as to how the Games came to take place and provide us with an account of the 1924 events.
This event is free but must be booked online in advance.
