Afternoon Breakout Session - Sparking Connections A System Wide Professional Learning Day For Oxford County Facilitated by: Veronica Green In this afternoon break out session, educators will explore how a holistic view of the child, educator, and environment can support and enhance children’s play experiences. Through engaging storytelling bridging theory to practice and reflective discussions, participants will learn how loose parts play, big body play, and sensory play come together to foster self-regulation, creativity, and exploration in children. Grounded in the Reggio Emilia approach, this workshop will deepen your understanding of the capable child and the role of the educator in creating environments that invite playful, meaningful learning. Veronica Green is an Early Childhood Consultant with 10+ years of experience in the early years sector inspiring educators from all over the world through her blog and resources to bring the magic of loose parts into their settings. As well as sharing her experience from raising her autistic child to change our perspectives on behaviour with collaborative strategies & curate learning environments that are filled with wonder and curiosity. Veronica offers professional development online and locally in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and is an executive member of Manitoba Reggio.
