Can you design and build Heart of Midlothian's new Onboarding Fan APP?!
For teens in S4 - S6
Wed 5th October 2022 - Wed 7th December 2022
Once a week for 9 weeks including a match day
From 4.30-6:00pm
In person at Tynecastle Park, Innovation Centre
All stationery and snacks will be provided, with all activities taking place during the session, no additional work outside of the session will be required - no homework.
No previous experience in app development is needed

We need your help.
Heart of Midlothian Football Club wants to improve our engagement with our fans through a new onboarding fan app.
We’re calling on young people from all backgrounds to help realise this product.
What that digital product does and what it looks like is up to you.
Working with the team from Stellar Omada, experts in digital product development, we’ll explore digital design, UX/UI design, development, testing, market research, and product pitching.
To help with the process, we will invite students to attend a match as our guests in early November!
As a team, you will pitch your ideas to a panel of industry experts who will evaluate your product and pitch, and provide feedback.
All ideas will be considered in the production of the app for Heart of Midlothian F.C.
Programme participants will also have the opportunity for further work placements and apprenticeship opportunities with Stella Omada - this experience will be a stepping stone to enter the world of IT services.
This programme needs designers, developers, engineers, entrepreneurs, creative thinkers, technical geniuses, and football fans!
The experience will help you develop the following skills:
Planning - Problem-Solving
Influencing - Storytelling
Creativity - Communication
Teamwork - Pitching
The 9 sessions will run on the following dates:
05/10 - Introductions
12/10 - Problem Statement / Requirements Gathering
School Break 19/10
26/10 - Finalising ideas / Deciding MVP / Pitch Preperation
02/11 - Midway 30 second elevator pitch in industry experts
09/11 - Finalising MVP after feedback / Starting Wireframe models
16/11 - Finalising Wireframes / Building the app
23/11 - Continue building
30/11 - Testing overview / Finalising prototype
07/12 - Final Product presentation
