The Final night of the weekend Sunday 5th September sees two of the greatest live acts to come out of the Midwest come together for the very first time as The Alvin Purple Experience & The Funk Junkies take to the stage of this pop up outdoor concert venue at Birdhill.
The Alvin Purple Experience are ready to celebrate thirty years of Loud Glam Rockin' with a new show!
In the last three decades the band, Alvin ‘LoveGod’ Purple, Ronnie Hendrix (guitar), Gary Slittar (bass) and Ricky ‘Slick’ Slaughter have toured the highways and byways, with no venue too small, no warehouse too big for Alvin to work his magic.
Expect to hear all their favourite hits born out of the 70’s, T-Rex, Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars, Slade, Sweet, Mud, Bowie, ABBA, Neil Diamond, the one where Video Killed the Radio Star and The Spirit in the Sky.
The Funk Junkies are the 12 legged groove machine that channel James Brown, Stevie Wonder and Nina Simone into a blockrocking barn storming soul & Funk revue . Joining them to get things started is Feile 2019 hit DJ NDT with all the indie anthems !
