Description
Public speaking can be daunting, but it doesn't need to be. Experienced public speaker Chris Carey gives an overview of the key do's and don'ts, in a relaxed environment.
Whether you are a seasoned pro who wants a different perspective or new speaker or just taking your first steps, you are very welcome. The session is aimed at music professionals and artists. We won’t cover stage craft/reading the room in any creative way! But if you want to sharpen your public speaking then please do join us!
Presented by FastForward and Live Nation, in partnership with VMDO and hosted at UNIFIED (51 Wangaratta St, Richmond. Melbourne, VIC 3121), the hour long session promises to be a lighthearted introduction and refresher to a scary subject.

About Chris Carey (who's running the training)
Chris is an entrepreneur, strategist and data expert. He is the founder of FastForward (taking place in London, Amsterdam and Sydney) and he is founder and CEO of boutique research company, Media Insight Consulting, specialising in Consumer Surveys, and Big Data Analytics, with a focus on the music industry. Clients include Spotify, Sony Music, The O2 and BMG Music.
He has spoken all over the world (SxSW, Canada Music Week, MIDEM, The Great Escape, BIGSOUND) and appeared on TV (BBC Breakfast, Sky News) and is a regular on radio (BBC 4’s Today Programme, BBC 5 Live, BBC Scotland and BBC World Service).
He previously worked as Global Insight Director at Universal Music Group and at EMI, and Senior Economist at PRS for Music, presenting regularly to board members and wider stakeholders.
