Gil Aglaure started his career in the film industry in Paris, France in 1987. As Director of Sales for a distribution company he was also heavily involved in production and helped develop and produce “Adventure”, a 40-episode series hosted by Christopher Reeve which aired in 112 countries around the world. In 1993, Gil founded Koan, a distribution company focused primarily on feature films. Quickly, Koan became a front-runner in the worldwide distribution arena and an important resource for buyers in over 150 countries worldwide. A combination of quality programming and rare business ethics sets Koan head and shoulders above its competitors in the US and international markets. Since 2009, Gil has been focusing on development and production. He Executive Produced titles such as Age of the Dragons with Danny Glover and Vinnie Jones which sold to 120 countries and ranked in the top three best ratings in 2011 on the SyFy Channel and Saints & Soldiers – Airborne Creed which has sold in 95 countries so far.
Tamara Bell is Vice President of Koan and oversees all acquisitions of theatrical and television products for the domestic and worldwide markets. With over twenty years in the entertainment industry her experience ranges from the acquisition of catalogues of 20+ films to the sale of stock shot footage for award-winning documentaries. Tamara oversees Koan’s catalogue of over 100 films in genres ranging from sci-fi and action to comedy and religious. Her focus is on building long-term relationships with talented filmmakers and finding a home for their productions, whatever the size of the screen and audience. She is currently acquiring and developing film projects for a film fund and is also developing an interactive multiplatform branded entertainment project.
Todd Hein, CPA is a senior tax manager at Stockman Kast Ryan + Co, the largest Certified Public Accounting firm in southern Colorado. He holds a Masters degree in Taxation and practices in tax planning and compliance for a wide variety of clients and entities, including partnerships, corporations, trusts, and high net-worth individuals. Todd has a special interest in the tax and accounting needs of the film and television business and is a frequent speaker on the use and application of Internal Revenue Code Section 181 and related tax planning opportunities. He lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but has clients throughout the country and internationally.
Maxim Jago is an award winning writer, award winning director and media technology specialist. He has authored over 30 titles available in bookshops and online, and regularly speaks about cross platform media technology, social trends and futurology. Hal "Corky" Kessler was recently voted Best Entertainment Lawyer in the US and has extensive experience in the entertainment industry on a worldwide basis. Corky regularly speaks on the business and legal aspects of feature film development, including tax incentives. He has participated in seminars and conducted speaking engagements throughout the United States and Canada on legal issues impacting the entertainment industry. He has been a lead speaker for many years at various film festivals throughout the country, including the Sundance Film Festival, where he has conducted seminars on "Funding" and "Legal and Business Pitfalls, Screenplays through Distribution." Corky has been the attorney on numerous film projects across the country. He has represented and served as executive producer on feature films and theatre projects. He was a speaker for Bloomberg International Television at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. In Oct 2012 he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with private investors in Beijing, China for a fund for co productions with US filmmakers. Arne M. Olson is the senior partner of the intellectual property law firm of Olson & Cepuritis, Ltd. which is based in Chicago, Illinois. His practice involves advising on and litigating in a wide range of intellectual property areas including copyrights, rights of publicity, advertising, trademarks and patents. He sees his primary role as keeping his clients out of trouble, but when that does not work, representing them in court. He has been doing this for over 35 years and has been coming to Sundance regularly because the ski slopes are wide open while all of you are talking about movies.
Manlio Roseano was born in Conegliano, Italy and has always had a great interest and passion for cinema. He entered the University of Rome at the faculty of Literature and Philosophy and started writing short stories and shooting his first videos. He studied the art of film making at The London International Film School. He graduated as a director/producer and worked on a variety of short films. In 1996 he wrote, produced and directed what he considers his first film: “Dreamlife”, a twenty minute short film awarded Best Short Film at the ‘Premio Excelsior’ in Rome in 1997. The next year he became a member of the DGGB and founded Wonderworks Productions Ltd. in London. He founded the first film production company in Friuli, in the northeast region of Italy, the Skenè Snc. He wrote, produced and directed his first feature film: “Il terzo leone” (The Third Lion) which won Best Feature Film Award at the 2nd Fargo Film Festival, the Silver Award for Best Foreign Feature Film at the 35th Worldfest in Houston and Best Long Drama Award at the 2nd Thunderbird International Film Festival in Cedar City, UT. His other projects include the feature length documentary on the Kelts, “Keltoi”; the historical drama “Gladio"; production manager of “Espelho Magico” with Manoel De Oliveiri; a Venice Film Festival selection, “Rutger Hauer’s Film Factory” short film “Ties That Bind”; and directed the comedy short film “A Bit Older and a Little Bit Taller,” the winner of the 2013 Best Short Film Award at the Indie Spirit Film Festival in Colorado Springs, USA, Gold Remi Award at the Worldfest in Houston, Texas and is Official Finalist at the Barcelona Film Festival. He has the exclusive option to adapt Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s “The Judge and his Hangman” into a feature film and is a script doctor and project development consultant for the FS-Law Firm based in Rome. He is currently in pre-production of his next feature film: “Angels Four”, an adventure film on the first ascent of the highest waterfall in the world: the Angel Falls. Principal photography is planned for September 2018. He is currently based in Munich, Germany.
Caron Nightingale has been involved in almost every area of the music business for more than 40 years. Starting as a touring artist, she went on to write and produce commercial songs, jingles and film music, winning numerous awards along the way. In 1992 Caron founded the internationally recognized and respected, Nightingale Music, which represents indie artists and produces and publishes music and sound effects for licensing. Nightingale Music can be heard in just about every country and network in the world. Notable writing and placement credits include The Big Sick, Jack Reacher, Deadpool, The Handmaid’s Tale, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Suits, 2 Broke Girls, Ripley’s, Saturday Night Live, Mercedes, Netflix, Fisher Price, Subaru, McDonald’s, Activia, Nintendo, Valiant Hearts, and many more. In October 2017, Nightingale received the prestigious PMA Mark Award for Best Vocal Song. In 2012, Caron opened the Canadian office of APM Music, a production and creative house coowned by Universal Music Group and EMI, where she currently holds the position of Director of Sales, Canada. Noemi Weis has spent over 20 years telling stories on the big and small screens, from
her worldwide advertising projects to her award-winning human rights films.
Born in Argentina and educated in Argentinian and Canadian Universities, Noemi
speaks six languages and is devoted to create and promote human rights and social
justice through her films.
As an award winning filmmaker, a humanitarian and an advocate leader Noemí journeys
where stories take her to bring voice to the world’s most vulnerable. Her films have been
sold in more than 50 countries receiving numerous awards but most important, making

one by Export Development Canada and a finalist for “Woman Entrepreneur of the
World” as the sole Canadian nominee.
