Years pass swiftly. It’s hard to believe another one is coming to end. Are you the same as you were in January? What has changed? Are you where you were hoping to be by this time?
No literary work engages with these questions more touchingly than the anonymous medieval poem Gawain and the Green Knight. It has become a tradition for my friends and I to perform my opera version of this piece at 8 PM on New Year’s Eve each year, and this year will be no exception. You are all invited!
