Description
The architecture and design industry has a clear, vocal focus on promoting dialogue and action around issues of gender equality and balance. But are we talking about it more than we’re actually making changes? This panel will explore the actions that need to occur to help us reach a more equitable future for all.
Speakers: Ingrid Bakker (HASSELL), Cameron Bruhn (Architecture Media), Nicole Kalms (MADA) and Justine Clarke (Parlour)Chair: Eugenia Lim (artist)
This talk is part of Eugenia Lim’s exhibition The Australian Ugliness; a keynote of this year’s Open House Melbourne July program. The exhibition is showing at The Dulux Gallery at Melbourne School of Design, from 23 July to 25 August.
About Eugenia LimEugenia Lim is an Australian artist who works across video, performance and installation. Interested in how nationalism and stereotypes are formed, Lim invents personas to explore the tensions of an individual within society — the alienation and belonging in a globalised world.
