Description
An Evening of Art and Action on Human Trafficking.
Betrayed: Portraits of Strength, a photo exhibit documenting human trafficking survivors, leads us into this evening of art and discussion tackling the global violence of human trade and exploitation. As the film feature, Reel Causes is thrilled to host the Vancouver premiere of Richie Metha's poignant drama Siddharth, based on the true story the of a man he met in India, searching for his missing 12 year old son. This event of art and action supports two organizations working with survivors locally: the West Coast Domestic Workers Association and the Children of the Street Society. After the film, they will join the artists and the audience for a discussion about taking action. Human trafficking is everywhere - even in our own community. You just might not see it.
