Hosted by Joi Sanchez and rotating DJ's Hey Leonéx & LoboCop at WoW cafe Theater in the LES every 3rd Sunday of the month from February until November.
Visual artists are invited to submit art for exhibit/sale between 5:30pm-630pm. $5 submisison fee per piece up to 24"x24" as space is available. Art sales are subject to 5% commission.
$5 for 6 mins of time to perform (with optional 2 mins feedback time) any genre (including dance!!) Stage list sign-up starts at 6:45 when doors open. Mic starts at 7p and goes until 8:45 or list is exhausted. At which point our DJ's will lead us into a healing dance party to send us off renewed.
general audience admission is suggested donation of +/-$10 (no one is turned away for lack of funds)
food and beverages are available for purchase on the premesis. ADA accessible space.

The fragile ecosystem, the human supremacy, the dark subject will berepresented on repetition, merciful compassion and empathy of the idealistic clumsiness of human life.
Metamorphosis of continuing movement challenging the human condition, often overwhelmed, stuck and disconnected from the surrounding; deeply represented by the voiceless body that poetically is ‘the dancer’. Are we still Alive or some of us died without realizing it?The answer to this cosmic question gravitates through the spectator's perspective and interpretation of re•turn.
BIO:
Zoe is an Italian born artist and performer, with expertise in a variety ofmedia. Her work is an exploration of street and contemporary styles,which she combines to create new visual and emotional expressions.Rauschenberg Foundation, Chashama and NYFA have awarded Zoefor her performance Rowing Upstream. The video of this performancewas on screening at Salomon Arts Gallery as part of the exhibition:Know Thy Self. She is specialized in producing stories that amplifycultural narratives and raise awareness on social justice, with recurringthemes of diversity and racial equality in American culture.
At the moment she is producing UNLEARN series; a video podcast ofroundtable discussions about Italian diaspora. Also she is the founder ofWomxn To The Front, a project with the mission to equalize the genderimbalance in Art, Music & Film for women and female identified people.
Zoe currently resides in Brooklyn, where she continues to cultivate andexpand her craft, producing videos, curating events and by collaboratingwith musicians and other artists as well as in solo performances.Check out her latest work with womxntothefront
