Please join the Grand Rapids African American Health Institute for our “Bright Lights and
Harlem Nights” Gala! We will celebrating the
Harlem Renaissance, which was a time of prosperity within various African American
communities. Lasting roughly from the
1910s through the mid-1930s, the period is considered a golden age in African
American culture, manifesting in literature, music, stage performance and art.
At the gala we will be honoring Rick Breon and Doyle Hayes. It will undoubtedly be a great evening
celebrating GRAAHI and those that work to eliminate health disparity in the
community.
